That's a bit of an interesting statement. High-end notebooks are showing greater promise each day to serve as desktop replacements. I'm not 100% sure how long this concept of a "notebook-designed subwoofer" has been around for, but the
Dell Inspiron 9200 and the
Dell Inspiron XPS both have integrated subwoofers. The sound systems of notebooks are getting better everyday, and I would be interested to see what difference it actually makes to the whole multimedia experience. If they're great, I would love to have one in my next notebook...albeit the cost for such a setup. :roll:
It would be interesting to see the integrated subwoofer and this external subwoofer go head-to-head! The external setup may deliver better performance, but the integrated solution permits greater mobility.
