Default Nikon D2X Reviewed

http://www.hardwarezone.com/articles/view.php?id=1448&cid=15&pg=1

"Performance wise, we have the advanced 3D-Color Matrix Metering II that makes it debut on the D2X, a 1,005-pixel RGB sensor, high-speed 4-channel independent data output from the new DX Format CMOS image sensor, 11-area AF system, support for both D-TTL and i-TTL flash systems, sYCC color space, a new generation system LSI and ASIC, an ambient light sensor to improve white-balance accuracy, simultaneous recording of NEF (RAW) and JPEG data of the same shot and many others. Last but not least, how can we forget the Nikon D2X's capability to shoot at five frames per second at the full 12.4-megapixel resolution for up to 21 JPEG or 15 NEF images. How about going even faster (for those speed demons) at eight frames per second at 6.8-megapixel resolution for up to 36 consecutive JPEG or 26 NEF images using the High Speed Cropped mode? This speed is welcomed together with the camera's almost instant start up time, a mere 37ms shutter lag (2ms with mirror lockup), the incredibly short mirror blackout time of 87ms, and the instant response we got when using the camera menus, and reviewing of images even when the buffer was writing to the card. The battery also seems to go on and on. Nikon claims that a full charge can last about 2000 shots. We seriously cannot remember when was the last time we charged the battery - it is that long lasting."

If high end DSLR's interest you, you'll have to check out this very detailed review (19 pages!). It's hard not to drool over this camera (well as long as you ignore the price). Plus why not use your Pocket PC with Pocket Phojo? 8)
