Default GreenCine Online DVD Rentals

http://www.greencine.com/main

Online DVD rental is kind of my passion. Since my taste in movies is so eclectic, its often impossible to find what I want at local movie rental outlets. Even major retailers like Blockbuster fail to stock the content I want. Often I walk into a video store, and end up walking out empty handed.

Thank God for online DVD rental services like Netflix and Wal-Mart, which offer a more robust library of available titles to choose from. However, as good as those services are, I've noticed that neither comes close to offering every movie available on DVD. For example, Wal-Mart only stocks the first season of the classic sci-fi TV series "Lost In Space" on its web site. I don't know if Netflix carries the other seasons or not since that service won't let you see their video catalog without joining (which is one reason why I won't).

That's where GreenCine comes in. They offer the biggest library I've seen yet (18,000 titles) and offer comparable pricing to Wal-mart. Although I haven't yet tried this service myself, I thought some of you might want to try it out. If any of you have, or plan to, please let me know what you think of them.

Okay, I'll be the first person to post this observation, since I know it will eventually be brought up: one of the things that Green Cine has that the others don't is an Adult Movie section. :grinning devil:

Netflix doesn't have this, and Wal-Mart & Blockbuster stock would plummet if they announced they were even thinking about offering them.

Any company can easily increase their library size by 2000 to 3000 titles by adding that "genre".

Is it wrong to point out that services like this also have the secondary effect of making programs like DVDShrink, http://www.dvdshrink.org/what.html, more popular?
