I have to say, as all of this is progressing, and even though its a shame that format wars cloud things, my interest in HD is building and continuing to increase.
The more I read though, the more I side with HD-DVD instead of Bluray. HD-DVD from what I've read seems to be the superior technology over Bluray for several reasons. And although people have differing conclusions about this and there is still more info to be revealed as things move ahead, this is the conclusion I've reached at this point in time based on all the info I've absorbed. I'll remain teachable, though.
This was an interesting article and I'm glad to see things beginning to really come together.
I'm also an nVIDIA fan and I'm glad to see what they're accomplishing as well. It makes me wonder how their codecs and hardware acceleration in relation to their SLI technology will affect HD performance. I'll be very curious to see that. Hopefully, they'll take advantage of SLI in this area.
I'll definitely want some sort of HD capability in my next system. Can't wait to see things come into REAL focus.
