New Webcam Tracks Your Movements, Whatever You May Be Doing
"For all you podcasters, vidcasters, or whatever out there, you will want to check out Creative Labs’ new Live! Motion webcam. It features an ultra-wide lens, USB 2.0, and 640×480 resolution…But probably the coolest part is the MaxView technology it uses. What Creative Labs calls MaxView is the combination of the webcam’s 76° lens and a mechanical pan ‘n tilt, which provides a 200° horizontal range and a 105° vertical range. This can be manually controlled via software, or better yet, you can turn on “Smart Face-Tracking” and the webcam will actually track you as you move. It is even purported to be able to track multiple people in the room." This seems pretty cool. I like the design. Nice styling. Cool glowing light thing. The face tracking is a cool feature, but I’m not sure I want to know what you would be doing in order to need the camera to track your movements. :? But for 130 bucks I’m sure I can find something cooler to spend my bread on. I mean, that’s almost half a PSP!
