Default Logitech to Release mm50 iPod Speakers in Black

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/CA/EN,CRID=2414,CONTENTID=10785

"The incredible bass and enveloping experience of a home audio system is now available on the go. The Logitech mm50 Portable Speakers for iPod uses 3" pressure drivers to maximize bass and minimize distortion. The rechargeable Li-ion batteries last up to 10 hours, and you can charge both the speaker system and iPod battery simultaneously. Using 3-D sound processing that "widens" the stereo effect, this system's sound seems to come from an area about two feet wider than the speaker itself. And with a custom travel case, you can take the big sound from this small package anywhere."

We never posted on the original release of these speakers by Logitech, so I figured for all your black-iPod owning people out there I'd pass along the news. Logitech makes great speakers, so I'd expect this set to be impressive. Anyone own a pair?

I own a black video iPod, but not one of these speaker systems. It looks really nice, though: sleek and portable, comes with a thin wireless remote, runs off of batteries and adaptor, will recharge the iPod and batteries simultaneously, and even seems to work as a syncing dock station, as well.

The only thing that frustrates me about iPod accessories (and there are a few exceptions, but only a few), is that the manufacturers never take into consideration the fact that people are using protective cases, especially considering that the newest iPods scratch so easily. So they never make enough room to plug an iPod into an accessory while it's still in its case, and people don't want to have to continually slip their iPod out of its case in order to do so.

iPod accessory manufacturers, are you listening???
