Down to Two Lenses

I have got myself where I think I want to be as far as lenses. My goal was to minimize how many I had to carry and still have a good range. I now have the EF24-105mm F4L IS USM and the EF70-300mm F4.5-5.6 DO IS USM.

I wonder though, I have read mixed things about the DO lens, should I have just gone with the 70-200mm L instead? I have 10 days to just swap it. The 300mm vs 200mm isn't a huge deal. The physical size of the lens is though. I wont be using the 70-300 much. I haven't explored all of the little things people don't seem to like about it either. I need you experts here to weigh in on this!
