Default Dell W3706MC 37-inch HD LCD TV Reviewed

http://www.biosmagazine.co.uk/rev.php?id=458

"Dell’s W3706MC 37-inch LCD TV delivers fantastic high-definition picture quality with bright vivid images and superb contrast. It also doubles as a regular computer monitor, should you have the deskspace to accommodate it. Digital TV is also easy with Dell’s built-in digital tuner (DVB-T) and with advanced video processing from DNX by Pixelworks, the television experience is top-notch."

Oh, Drool. I'd kill for a TV like this in my living room. $2400 is a bit steep for me though. From the review, it looks like Dell has done it again with their newest 37" HDTV (now filled with HDMI goodness). They keep touting it as a PC monitor, but 1366x768 is really kind of too small in my opinion (it is just big enough for the OK on dialog boxes to be viewable though). The thing I don't get: How can they say it supports 1080i 'native resolutions' when the screen itself can't display that many lines? Doesn't that just mean it will accept 1080i input, but will downsample it to 720p? If so, then I can't see how this set is really any better than my Samsung HD CRT, which really can display 1080i native resolution, albeit on a screen that's 7 inches smaller...
