"All that waiting, the months and months of delays.. and now it's here. iRiver has finally posted the 1.60 firmware for thier H100/120/140 players.

Fixes include -
• File delete from File/Tree view by pressing the REC button (single files only, not directories)
• Format disk function for H140
• Playback speed control (+/- 5 steppings)
• Gap Delete (deletes any gaps detected at the end of a track, NOT the same as gapless playback)
• Can switch to dB mode without restarting
• Text files can be stored in subdirectories of the TEXT directory
• "ticking remote" bug fixed"

You can download the new firmware here. Unfortunately I don't see it on iriveramerica.com yet.

Now if only the IHP-140 were available in Canada.
