Default MarketWatch: "Podcasts Growing at Frantic Pace"

"Podcasting is growing at neck-breaking speed, says Dick Costolo, the CEO of FeedBurner. "Last September, I couldn't have told you what a podcast was. Now it's 10 percent of our feeds," he says. "Podcasting is a phenomenon growing at an incredible pace."

I have to confess I'm not all that big on podcasting. While I do listen to a handful of various Mac and PDA related casts, I don't see this venue as a coveted resource..especially for news.

I didn't se the utility of it either until I realized that I have been doing it for a couple of years by using Applian Replay Radio to record radio shows and download them to my iPAQ to listen to on my commute home. Now, because of the podcast craze, the radio shows do it for me and I don't have to worry about scheduling the recorder or scrolling through commercials. It's truly a wonderful thing!
