Classic Films Re-Released by Internet Archive

I'm in the midst of downloading the 3.84 GB MPEG2 version of this film, which I plan on converting to a WMV9 format and putting on my Pocket PC for viewing on a plane trip I'm taking in early April. I think providing a service like this is fantastic, although I'd shudder to see their bandwidth bill. 8O |

I'm actually getting great bandwidth from the site, all things considered. I'm also downloading Night of the Living Dead at around 200kbps, but the download is going in minus... the completed percent is -18%, and the download status bar is all the way finished.
It would be nice to have a classic, this one's going right to DVD when it's done downloading..... in 6 hours

I was going to freak out when I thought you were saying 200 KBps, but you're saying 200 kbps, which is 25 KBps, right around the 22 KBps that I'm getting right now. What browser are you using? Is it really measuring it in kbps? Only broadband providers who are trying to trick people into thinking their service is faster than it really is use kbps. :lol: |

AnalogX makes some great software, but in this case it's pretty easy to see the download speed - Internet Explorer tells you.  |

Somehow, mine was running at 80 to 113KB and downloaded 237 MBs worth in about 30 min. :rock on dude!:
