The Kalidescope system ONLY holds 180 DVDs. Anyone who would want to lay out that kind of money for a system probably has more DVD's than that. Heck I have more than 180 DVDs with Star Trek in the title. (I know, I am insane.)

While these wish lists are always cool for seeing the newest technology and what will flow down the line in the next few years, I would really like to see listings of a systems that more people could afford. Heck, my home theater (which includes a 65" widescreen HD TV, DVR with DVD-R, and 5.1) was less than $3000 and all but the alpha geeks out there would probably not see much off a difference.

65" Apex Widescreen HDTV (Cost under $1400 and performs on par with my buddies $2800 set, this set is usually about $1800 retail and I got it when Amazon was blowing them out, so I got it to my door for under $1400))
Panasonic DVR/DVD Recorder DMR E80h paid about $500 (Retails for $699, but combined a coupon and sale at Sears)
Phillips DVP642 (plays anything and everything) $70 at target
Sony Amp (Bought used from a buddy that likes to upgrade his home theater stuff as often as I like to buy computer stuff - he paid $500, I bought it for $150 a year latter)
AR Speakers - Mains retailed for $300 each, got a great price match and got both for $300, can't remember what I paid for the rears
JBL Sub (Used $75 from the same friend as above, he got on a kick of having all matching brand speakers and gave me a deal on this)

That totals about $2500 for what I paid and maybe $3800 if you paid full retail.
