Digital Music Server
I have a laptop that's not doing anything but sitting in my living room. It sits next to my home audio system so I figured I can put a mini-jack to RCA audio plug from the laptop to the stereo and throw a ethernet or wireless card on it and convert it to a digital media server (mainly music). Naturally the hard drive is too small, so networking/streaming from one of the desktops on the already setup home network is mandatory. Basically a makeshift Slim Devices’ Squeezebox, Creative’s SoundBlaster Wireless Music, Linksys Wireless-B Media Adapter, Linksys Wireless-B Music System, etc.
Any special software that will help me accomplish this (besides shoutcast/WinAmp, Windows Media/WMP, etc.)?
TIA
