Default T-Mobile Network Problems

I just flew in to Seattle for some meetings with Microsoft to find that I was unable to make any calls from my Smartphone. So I called up T-Mobile, my carrier in the US, from the phone in my hotel room and was told that they are having major outages in various places around the country. They have engineers working on the problem right now but there is no estimated fix time. The good news is that if you are in an area affected by this outage and call customer service, they will offer you the choice of 50 free bonus minutes or a $5 credit. The customer service number is 1-800-937-8997. I'm still not happy about not being able to make calls, but it's nice to see T-Mobile being responsive.

I had problems in Philly today - at least a few hours with zero service. It's back up now.

FWIW, DirecTV had some major problems yesterday too. Wonder if it was related?
