Default smartphone or pocketpcphone, that is the question

use axim 50v (very minimal daily usage, mostly contacts, tasks, calendar with some programs- music, ebooks and some drug database programs like PDR), want to converge to one device

any users of smartphone, why do you perfer the smartphone device to the PPCphone? what limitations would I notice? I looked at the cingular 2125 and 3125 vs the 8125 (and possibly 8525- if and when)

Most Pocket PC phones can be a real pain to use as a phone. It usually requires both hands. The 8525, and similar devices, might be an exception because of the external keypad. I rarely used my 8125 as a phone because dialing it with one hand was almost impossible.

Generally, Smartphones are a little smaller--I like the smaller, lighter devices. I also prefer not having a touch screen. And, I agree with Jerry, Smartphones are easier to use a phones than PPC Phone Edition devices.
