I've just found your forum and I hope you can help me. Forgive me if there's a thread on this already. I've searched but can't seem to narrow terms enough to find it.
Sometime yesterday, my ability to access contacts by pressing the "To" in a new message disappeared. If I press "To" in a new message, either a text or email, all that comes up is "send" "save to drafts" or "cancel message". If I click "menu" in the lower right, and press on "add recipient," nothing happens. The only way to add somebody is to begin typing a name in the "to" field and then it will pull up suggestions.
The only thing I did differently yesterday was I DID add a recipient to an email by typing in the address. If I've changed a default setting somehow, please help me find it and change it back. This is going to drive me crazy.
i've tried a soft reset, but it did nothing. I've never done a hard reset and hope it won't be necessary because I hate to have to reupgrade my ROM, etc.
