New Contacts Not updated, is it a bug?

I am a newbie in this forum and would like to ask question ...

Using my HTC Tanager fone, I noticed that if someone sends me an SMS message and his number was not on my Contacts List, automatically his number will be displayed as the From, I tried to Save this number and gave it a name (ie, UnknownUser) and filled up other information for him. After this, I noticed that the new name I entered corresponding to his number doesn't reflect/update automatically on my Inbox...the changes will be applied the next time that person sends an SMS message again. In Nokia fones, Saving the received number will auto-update changes on your inbox also.
