Media Player Buttons

Hey!
I'm playing with my sort-of-new Sprint Touch and trying to load tons of music on it. It's working, but I can't find an option that was invaluable on the older models. I'd like to TURN OFF the screen while music is playing. There doesn't seem to be a convenient way to do this. Actually NO way to do this! So when I put it in my pocket, I invariably hit a screen button (it's a Touch after all!).

Does anyone know how to keep this thing quiet while I'm listening to my tunes?

At least when I answer the phone I can press the on/off button to squelch the screen so my ear doesn't push the network button and make a shambles out of the call!
