Default Need advice on colour reproduction from online prints...

Hi all,

I just got my first prints back from an online printer, photobox.co.uk, and was very disappointed with the colour reproduction

I use a properly calibrated monitor (a ViewSonic VP930 recently profiled using a ColorVision Spyder 2) and do all my editing in Photoshop CS2 in the AdobeRGB colour space.

All I did when sending the images off to print was to convert them to sRGB as this was the colour space photobox recommended. (I didn't just assign the sRGB profile, in case you're wondering :roll What I got back were washed out images with a cyan cast, almost like they look on my monitor in an uncalibrated state.

So, does anyone have any ideas? Am I being dim and missing something obvious, or should I just do my printing elsewhere? I want to make sure I have everything right at my end before paying for any more useless prints

Thanks,

Mike

Give this a read and see if it helps:

I only use sRGB and get wonderful results.
