Default What Was Under Your Tree Yesterday?

So what gifts did yesterday bring? It doesn't even have to be digital media related, or <gasp> technology related! Of course, I know not everyone celebrates Christmas, so share the festivities and gifts (mostly gifts!) you enjoyed on your particular holiday. Or did you give someone else a particularly special gift? Stories welcome!

Welll...
My brother and sister teamed up with me to get our mother an LCD HD Monitor (37"/1080p--easy to guess brand and model) and an XBOX360 (via VGA cable, of course) for use as a media center. I added a full copy of Bejeweled in case she get curious about gaming on it.

My brother got a Gigabeat S black+4 months of Naptser-to-go.
My sister got a motobecane road bike which she won't ride until her swollen knee gets better.
And I got, a very nice designer-brand sweater.

My mom, sister, and her boyfriend went in on a Saitek x52 for me, since I'm hooked on Flight Sim X lately. I also got a ton of assorted Canadian chocolate, and a bunch of Asham-branded curling stuff (glasses, sweater, keychain, etc.) Oh, and a GC to BHPhoto.com which is already spent

Years ago I decided that as a favor to my family I would create an Amazon wishlist and point people to it. I tell them they don't have to buy it from Amazon, just use it as a list of stuff they know I want.

This year my dad got me FIFA Soccer for the Xbox 360, completely missing the fact that the 360 itself was about 3 slots up on the wishlist... :?

All my best Xmas presents this year I bought for myself: a Cingular 3125 ($100 after rebate) and a Zune. Lorri bought me floor-level tickets for my favorite band (at $95 each), but the concert was over a month ago.

Default Gift

My wife and her brother got me a Canon HV10 to add to my arsenal of digital equipment / toys / gadgets.

The question I have for the Thoughts' team is:
Since the camera does not come with any HD editing software, are there any recommendations?

(I have toyed with Premiere Elements 3.0, but there is no Preview during capture.. otherwise it is good plus).

Thanks!!

Happy Holidaze

I got a copy of Flight Sim X for Christmas. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I'm very anxious. Should go well with my CH gear (Yoke and Pedals).

I bought this new MCE computer a couple of months ago and for Chrstmas decided to finally take advantage of its abilities. First step, getting the right kind of broadband service so I can watch TV and record as DVR is the greatest invention of the past decade. Step two will be the XBox so I can stream the media (mainly my vast music collection) to the home stereo system. It's downstairs- anybody got experience streaming music that far?
