Zune Still Having Trouble With Vista?

That's a quote from Joel at Geek.com, and he shares his experience setting up a Zune on Vista. It seems like things still aren't quite right with the Zune, and Joel is right: with Vista the experience should be even more seamless than under XP because both are shiny and new - or maybe that's the problem. I set up my Zune on a Vista computer last month, and it worked nicely enough - though I knew to install the software first. Have you had trouble with the combination of Zune and Vista?

I've been using my Zune with Vista since the release of the Vista compatable version, and I can't recall having any issues with this combination yet.

Yeah, same here...in fact I've had more trouble with it on my XP box than with my Vista machine. Vista kept me going while I got my XP box fixed.

The FlashNotInstalled issue affects any new Zune + Vista combination I set up, but other than that, it's smooth sailing.

I'm still stunned that Adobe hasn't addressed that problem yet - they commented on my blog post that they're working on it, but come on, it's been months...

I have had 2 minor issues with Zune software on Vista so far. I have had 1 time when it failed to recognize the zune, a reinstall of the software fixed that and then it failed to remember my zune as being owned by this computer. I think I solved that issue. When I cleared the cache in the zune software it dropped the zune from being assigned to this PC. There should be a warning about that if it's designed to do that.
