Is it possible, when deleting a song off the software, to also delete it from your computer? I remember in windows media player a dialogue box would pop up, and you could also set it in the settings, which would ask you if you wanted to delete the song from your library or from your library and your harddrive.

Yes. Usually when deleting, you're presented with a dialog box that has two options. If you don't see that, perhaps you need to reset your options. Go to Settings -> General, and click Reset Warning Messages.
