Perhaps, perhaps not. If the URL cannot be entered into the browser, what's the point of the second check? The Zune software has already checked your machine for compliance, so this is just an unnecessary hurdle.

That's another kind of problem...the Zune software should let you know when the Zune is connected, so if it's not doing that, it could be your Zune, the cable you're using, or the USB ports on your computer. Unfortunately there's no easy way to tell - if you have another computer you can test it on, that will help narrow things down.
Yes the problem is witht he software it self and no, my zune is connecting fine and is syncing fine.
I don't know if this can help but I had one of thoese glitches where it copies all the songs and everything and I can't get into my account to access my podcast and stuff.

I disagree. Why should they care where my browser says I'm from? Why should they care what IP address my computer is using? Microsoft has thrown up all sorts of unnecessary, frustrating barriers to all non-US users, and I'm sick and tired of it. They're hurting the Zune brand and the experience of using a Zune by their actions.

Look, you like complaining about unicode support, and I like complaining about this.
