Default Setting an mp3 on my Q as a ringtone??

I put an mp3 on my miniSD card but i cant apply it as a ring tone in my Q. How do i do this? If I have to put it into another directory, then where does it go? I don't see an option to do it.

Place it into the phone's Application Data/Sounds directory.

There is also a tweak that allows ringtones to be kept on the SD card. I'll look for a link.

This application allows you to set any wav or mp3-file as ringtone/sms-alert/alarm-sound etc., also from Storage Cards:
RJV Tone Setter

And it's free

But it doesn't work with WM5 - (or at least my WM5.1 HTC Tornado, aka Tmobile SDA).

Anyone know the reg keys to change the ringtone location. I can put them at the root of my memory card, but that seems so disorganized.

That's weird, it works perfectly fine on my WM 5 based Qtek 8310...
