Default How to create menu ( .lnk ) files ?

Hi, maybe someone can help ? I can copy stuff using the PC from one folder on the smartphone to another, or from the pc to the smartphone etc etc with no problem. However, trying to add a menu link to the smartphone's \windows\start menu set of folders is leaving me with an ever increasing bald patch.
Is there an easy way to create a working menu shortcut on the smartphone using a PC ?
Thanks and if I'm really that "blind" don't be afraid to tell me after you've told me "HOW"

If you are running XP, you can do it through Windows Explorer - just right click, and select "Create Shortcut". Otherwise, you have to do it on the Smartphone through the file explorer. Since each manufacturer has a different file explorer, you would need to tell us which smartphone you are using.

Well dammmmmm. Thank you for that, I hadn't even "seen" the paste shortcut option on the list in XP until you had typed me that reply. Thank you so much, and now I feel such a pr** lol.
