It does actually work quite well for note taking, and if I did more of it I'd probably use this instead of my Notes app that came on the iPhone, but that works well enough for me that I don't need to switch. However, it does have some merit to be able to go online and see my notes and modify them from any computer. My problem is I get into an "App Overload" situations, so I get rid of everything except for those apps that I really use. I love a clean screen, and that is what I'm going through now. I'm in simplicity versus Simplenote mode.</p>

I love this app! I use it on my laptops (work and home/Windows and Mac), two iPads, and an iPhone. It functions beautifully as a text database system, and it's perfect for my job. But, the new version is buggy, duplicating text entered...duplicating text entered...duplicating text entered... ( like this)

forgot to mention: i use simplenote to write my reviews, and then copy and paste into OneSite, thereby avoiding some of the webKit quirks in publishing.

I love how clean this app looks, but like you, I dont need another app. I did try it on the iPhone as well as the web and did get the double text right away.

I've been using EverNote for a while now and love the extra functionality it brings. Tho I dont like the iPhone user interface, I use it between my home mac, work pc and iPhone.

Oh and MobileMe Sync or Gmail Sync has the functionality of SimpleNote covered as well. Even if youre not a MobileMe subscriber, You can sync with Gmail notes as well.
