Whether this is an "official" date remains to be seen. It certainly doesn't seem to be an official announcement. Yesterday we saw <a href="http://www.windowsphonethoughts.com/news/show/99171/windows-phone-7-by-lg-launches-in-september.html" target="_blank" title="LG's Windows Phone 7 Launch">news</a>&nbsp;suggesting LG will be releasing a Windows Phone handset in September. One thing's for sure - Windows Phone 7 is inching closer.</p>

Not surprised, Carriers her ein the Us need time to:
A: Find every possible new way to milk more money from customers
B: Mess up the entire experience, disabling capabilities etc.

It would be interesting if it became available in Europe first: it would be SIM Free and I could even be tempted to give it a try.
