In other words, 'selfish elites.'"

Well, only speaking for myself of course, I'm not wealthy and don't have a disproportionate interest in business in finance, although I do have a BA in Accounting. I never have considered myself selfish but that is for others to decide I suppose. I do find it highly likely that the poll is correct when it comes to the finding that 96% of those that criticize it don't even own one, as this is the case, again in my opinion, for a majority of criticism about lots of things, not just iPads. What do you think of the research? And when you get right down to it, do you really care? I don't.

I ignore studies like this just as I ignore the "elitists" who insist on ragging on people for having tech products, especially Apple. I assume of course that the people who claim I only buy "unnecessary status symbol items" themselves own nothing one might consider unnecessary to the basics of life and only live in a house with four walls, a bed, a fridge and a couch and nothing else. You know, the same kind of person who says I only bought an iPad to keep up with the Johnsons, while they sit in front of their 50 inch plasma TV. I am not so shallow (or so rich) that I only buy things because they are the "in" thing. What a ridiculous argument for people to make.
