Yes, I'm planning to pay the big bucks for an unlocked iPhone 4 from the Apple Canada online store, as soon as it becomes available. Why? Because when I travel (reasonably frequently) outside BC, I'd like to be able to get a local micro-SIM card and not worry about roaming charges. On a recent visit to the States, I was charged $79 for one day's worth of roaming by Rogers on my iPhone 3GS. Also, I'm always on the upgrade path so when it comes time to sell the iPhone 4, I would expect to get more money for it being unlocked and it widens the field of potential buyers.
