In the meantime, they have released the Popular Mechanics Interactive Edition, which serves as a preview edition of things to come."</em></p><p><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/at/auto/1279465218.usr105634.jpg" /></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Currently you can subscribe (like I do) to Popular Mechanics via Zinio [<a href="http://www.zinio.com/browse/publications/index.jsp?productId=90967603" target="_blank">link</a>], for a monthly fee of $12.00 USD per year, and it's a pretty good deal since you can read it on your computer running Windows, OS X or Linux [<a href="https://www.zinio.com/account/download-reader-page.jsp" target="_blank">link</a>], or iPhone or iPad via the Zinio universal app [<a href="http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/zinio-magazine-newsstand-reader/id364297166?mt=8" target="_blank">link</a>]. This is a bit different, and more interactive [<a href="http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/popular-mechanics-interactive/id378868851?mt=8" target="_blank">link</a>]. The interactivity is an advantage over Zinio, and some are calling this the future of magazines on the iPad. I certainly hope so!&nbsp;</p>
