http://wuvuzela.jdbp.mobi/

There are still a few days until the World Cup is over, so you still have time to install the Vuvuzela app for your phone, called Wuvuzela. For those not familiar with the Vuvezela, it is a plastic horn that makes the shrill voice of your nagging Aunt Matilda sound like a lullaby. I get the need for soccer fans to have this. You need something to keep you awake during those 90 minute games waiting for that single scoring event, right?

Oh yeah, to give it that extra level of annoying factor, the app contains advertisements unless you fork over $1.49 to buy the ad-free version.

I mean, there's nothing as exciting as watching grown men, all wrapped up in padding, wrestle to gain a few yards. ;)

Not to mention have the action stop every 15 seconds or so. A 60-minute game that when televised can go on for 4 hours and be full of commercial breaks is what I call boring. At least in soccer the action only stops at half-time.

Oh, and go Brazil!!! :D

now I see what everyone was talking about. I don't watch football. In fact, didn't see American Football in my original post or link.

No you did not but talking about something to keep you awaken during a boring game means that you never watched soccer either; during a soccer game the action last 45, uninterrupted, minutes.

That's odd, because I could have sworn I'd actually been to real honest to goodness live action soccer games in Brazil. Didn't save my stubs though. I wish I'd had a vuvuzela there.

I won't bother repeating the smiley. I put it in the first post for a reason, which apparently went "woosh!" over some heads.

I think the real news is that iOS and Android had (multiple) vuvuzela apps within days of the start of the WC, and Windows Mobile gets one 11 days after the start. Well, at least it came out before the final.

All sports look boring if you have no idea what the hell is going on.
