<p><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/wpt/auto/1277510655.usr1.jpg" style="border: 0;" /></p><p>In a continuation of our re-launch contest, up for grabs is an <a href="http://www.htc.com/us/products/imagio-verizon" target="_blank">HTC Imagio</a>, a Verizon network phone, donated courtesy of the generous people at HTC. This is a really nice phone, featuring a 5 megapixel camera, a 3.6 inch 480 x 800 (WVGA) touch screen, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 1500 mAh battery, a Qualcomm 528mhz CPU, 288 MB of RAM, 512 MB of on-board storage, a microSD card slot, and GPS. Oh, and that cool little kick-stand! I wish every device had a little kick-stand like that, it's great for watching videos while on a plane, etc.</p><p>Because this is a Verizon device, this contest is only open to people from the USA - sorry rest of the world! To enter to win, all you have to do is post a message telling me what phone you're using now, and in what way the HTC Imagio would be superior to your - how would it give you a better Windows Phone experience?</p><p>The contest will run until Friday, July the 2nd, at 3pm GMT -7. One entry per person, and a random drawing will determine the winner. The will will be notified via email and forum private message, and will have 72 hours to claim their prize.</p><p><strong>UPDATE:</strong> The contest is now over, and the winner is&nbsp;<strong><em>looneytoone</em></strong>! I had asked how the HTC Imagio would provide a better experience than the phone you currently had, and here was <em>looneytoone's</em> answer:</p><p><em>"I am currently using a Droid. After working with Windows CE and Windows Phone, etc, I thought it was time to check out something with a "buzz" behind it and went to Android. Yet still, for some reason, I continue to follow and keep up with Windows. Has my Droid experience been good, yep! But I miss the connectibility with Exchange and other apps that I've gotten use to. Plus the camera rocks on the Imagio. I think I'd come back home if I won this great phone."</em></p><p>Welcome back <em>looneytoone</em>!</p>

Currently using an HTC Shadow running on T-Mobile, but I'm long out of contract currently. I'd use the newer phone to keep more up to date with my business and home email, as well as, sneak a few TV shows in while on the road (not while driving though ;) ).

The larger screen size and touch screen capacity would be far more usable than the current, button-only interface that my current phone has.

I had owned a TP2 but during a potty training fiasco, my son and I fell asleep on the sofa woke up in the morning we both were wet and oh yeah my phone was in my pocket:(. Can't really afford to get a new one (outright) because looking to get married and trying to be more responsible (should of thought of that insurance). But I must say the battery life on this phone is great lol.:D

Currently using a Samsung Omnia i910.

While the Imagio does not have the 8Gb of internal storage of the Omnia, the 3.6 inch 480 x 800 (WVGA) touch screen will make using the device much nicer in all applications. Especially when browsing the web.
The presence of a standard 3.5mm headphone jack is far better than Samsung's proprietary interface and will make listening to video or music much easier and more enjoyable.

changing out my current TMobile MDA (yup it's that old) would be a great enhancement to my daily routine. Since I am an advid user of Windows Mobile for Office Mobile applications on a daily basis I could actually edit and even read most excel or word documents. Where as now I am lucky to even open most recently produced documents. Not to mention I could actually watch a movie while traveling without the jumping frames.

I'm currently using a Samsung Epix on AT&T. I would be interested in using the Imagio as the article states - I fly often with my job and watching video on the plane with that screen and the kickstand would be a nice touch.

Plus, I have actually been thinking about switching one phone to Verizon Wireless. Last year during the ice storm, here in Western Kentucky, AT&T Wireless was out and I had to travel 30 miltes to use my phone or get email and only the people with Verizon Wireless had connectivity throughout the storm.

I think I'd come back home if I won this great phone.

My phone right now is an E-TEN G500 running WM 5.0. I think this phone would be vastly superior than my device now. It doesn't help that it is on AT&T and the service around my are sucks. The phone itself is not too bad, i have it just right that it utilizes as many features as possible from a technical standpoint. I do like the OS and i feel it is more flexible than other platforms. This is due to the vast amount of apps available.

I think WM 6.5 is awesome in that most apps are compatible that exist today, so i would be able to use many of them. I love HTC products and i really like how they managed to really push their brand, especially in the USA. I would like to utilize newer programs, and the more advanced hardware that is available today. I like my device, but really it is showing its age, so everything about this phone would be. I could have tighter integration with MSFT services and better integration with my laptop. I do currently over blue-tooth sync and send/receive files but i think new devices have a better handle at that. Lastly, i do need higher speed for data and better coverage. Once my contract with AT&T is up, i would like to switch to Verizon.

I have a sprint HTC Touch pro 2. I think going from touch pro 2 to Imagio is a great improvement, because the new imagio can have the WM 7. It's faster, it holds more in battery, and it's sleek. When i got my first touch screen phone, it was the HTC vogue, since then I've fallen in love ;) with HTC, they make really great phone, when it was time to upgrade, I didn't look for anything other than HTC, I just love those phone, and also love Windows Mobile.
It would be awesome to win this one! And it's pretty cool what you guys are doing :D...well *crossing fingers* !! ;D -diana k c v

I'm using an original t-mo Dash. The Imagio would beat the ancient dash in about every way. My dash is too painful to browse on and the camera is only for when you’re totally desperate. I only use it for phone and email and calendar. I'm particularly sure the Imagio would excel in browsing and picture taking so I'd be able to actually do those things. Plus I have old software from by pocket pc days that I could probably run again on the Imagio.

I am currently running the Verizon HTC Touch Pro. The Imagio's larger screen will come in handy for running CoPilot 7. The Wide screen will format will also be better to watch 16x9 content from my Slingbox.

I've got a Nokia E63 on AT&T. How would the HTC Imagio be better than my E63? I can't think of a way it wouldn't be better. And it would let me experience Windows Mobile, plain and simple.

I've had the (original) HTC Tilt for three years now prior to that I had the 8925, so I am quite familiar and have always loved HTC products. My trusty phone is beginning to show its age in many ways and my contract with ATT has expired so I am actively in the market for a new phone and possibly a new carrier. Given what I have now, almost any newer vintage phone would be a great improvement. I don't want to jump ship and go to an iPhone and Android based phones don't sync with Outlook which is essential for me.

Much as I'd like to wait for a Windows Phone 7 model, I just don't think my Tilt is going to make it that long. It was a great phone but has taken a lot of abuse from me I'm beginning to have problems with it which flashing the ROM won't help.

I've read all the specs on the Imagio and it would be perfect for me (plus if I won one, then I'd still have the cash to buy a Windows Phone 7 HTC come Holiday season!)

Hi Jason,
I am currently using a Motorola Razr v3m, and my carrier is Verizon Wireless.

The HTC Imagio is superior to this phone in almost every way.
Although the razr v3 series is still the most popular phone in the world, it is almost obsolete. Ive had this since 2007 and its slowly dying. I'm pretty sure the Imagio doesn't randomly go through a bootloop for the first minute of startup. I have to basically jump start it with a charger. Windows Mobile is obviously better than what the razr runs, not to mention how old my razr is and how outdated its technology is. In every perspective the Imagio is superior to my phone.

I have played with the Windows Phone 6.5 OS because of people I know who have it, they also think its hilarious that I still have an old razr but I really can't afford buying a new phone.

I'm still running the Samsung Omnia i910 as well. Lately with all the new smartphones coming out I feel like the only person left who's running a non-WVGA device, which the Imagio has. Even though most new phones are going with a snapdragon (or equivalent) processor, the Imagio still has some staying power as a multimedia device... just throw on one of NRGs custom ROMS and it should be good to go for another year or two!!

I'm still using an HTC Kaiser a.k.a. Tilt -- so this Imagio could be better in just about every conceivable way :)

I am REALLY old school. My HP 210 does not even have phone capabilities! I have used the Bluetooth link to have my plain old ordinary phone dial a number from my Windows Mobile device. So, finally getting Phone combined with my Windows Mobile will be a cool step up!

I'm currently using a Motorola Q9C on Verizon. It's old and slow, but I happen to be one of the view that is perfectly happy with a Windows smartphone. The Imagio would be a great upgrade.

I'm currently using a Venus by LG,
because my previous phone had been stolen, you see.
The Droid Eris is the phone that I used to use,
until it was stolen, at the gym with my shoes.

I'm now using the girliest phone on the planet,
loaned to me by my annoying little sister named Janet.
I fear using this phone lest somebody see
this little pink device -- and laugh hysterically at me.

If only I could win that slick Imagio
I could throw out the Venus and no one would know.
Because any phone would be better to me
than to keep using this Venus made by LG.

I'm currently using a Pantech PN-820 running Windows Mobile Smartphone 5.1. The HTC Imagio would be a complete upgrade for me letting me have a touch screen and higher resolution screen, plus the newest flavor of Winows Mobile. I use to love clamshells, but now they only make you look dated. :(

Im using a Samsung Omnia now, had a HTC XV 6800 before and between the much bigger screen, latest version of Windows Mobile, regular USB port, fast processor this would be a kick-ass upgrade from the Omnia.
Probably has better battery life also.

PS. Kick stand? Woo hoo!!

I have an iPhone, but I miss Windows Mobile. I really dislike not being able to drag-and-drop files onto the phone. This device has the form of the iPhone, but WM! Would be nice to be back.

I'm currently using a HTC Shadow running WM 6.1 standard. A fully functional WM 6.5 would help in my daily work and personal use. The touch screen would make it easier to work with documents and keep my information up to date.

I am using an HTC Touch Pro. I'm not sure if it's US Cellular that I'm upset with or the Touch Pro. I loved it when I first got it - still would but I've had so many problems with the phone. Can't wait until my contract ends in April. Oh, and anything with an improved battery life turns me on. So, the Imagio sounds like a step up for me and the way I'd use the features.

I'm currently on the Blackberry Tour. I was a Windows mobile fiend since the beginning, but couldn't justify staying with it with how slow it was compared to the other Verizon Wireless phones. Would love to go back to Windows mobile.

Currently using a Verizon Touch Pro 2, love the phone despite seeing what a big difference the SnapDragon processor can do for the HD2(still can't beat the best keyboard ever on the Touch Pro 2). An Imagio would be a welcome upgrade from my TP2 since it has a 5mp camera instead of the TP2's 3mp and it has a kickstand which is a lot better than the current tilting from the TP2 for media viewing. Hope I win!

AT&T Fuze. WVGA would enhance viewing everything! Tired of not having a 3.5mm headphone Jack too.

Um, unless they changed the spec, my Imagio has both GSM and CMDA. Not sure if it has the GSM 3G radio, but it does have a SIM chip you can use once the phone is unlocked.

Tragically underrated. One of my co-workers who shares an office with me coincidentally also has one and feels the same way.

It is sad that the one-two punch of new Android phones and the obsession with the impending arrival of the HD2 eclipsed the release of this excellent phone.

Be forewarned, some of the default settings are seriously wrongheaded and suck up memory and battery power. As in all things Windows Phone, XDA-Developers is your friend.

I am still on that Samsung R451C.
I was actually motivated to get the Imagio when it first came out. To hang up my Samsung MP3 Player and Dell Axim X51v. Mainly because the third replacement battery is going out on me. I would rather stick to a Windows Mible device because trouble shooting it will be easier that another OS from someone else. That V Cast multimedia service sound fun to play with.

I'm using a Sony Ericsson w810i. It is a walkman phone.
I don't use it to get one line or anything advanced.
I make and receive calls, and use the MP3 player feature (until I lost the headset adapter).
It takes OK-ish pictures, so I use the camera occasionally.

I also have a Dell Axim.

If I got the Imagio I'd be able to replace both of these, and have a WM device with the phone.
It would be superior because ... well, it is superior. It is newer, better, faster, stronger, and combined into one for convenience.

Using a now ancient Motorla Q9. Ugh. Would love to have a new WM touchscreen device! The Q9 is slow, terrible navigation, reboots on it's own periodically (even after reimaging the device), and just OLD. Imagio and other modern touchscreen devices just blow away the old WM Standard devices.

Currently using a Samsung Omnia i910.

A HTC Imagio would be the only thing keeping me from running to iPhone 4 (even with the antenna issues!)... It's a really long story. Basically think that 6.5 and the Imagio would be the end of the line for me with WinMo. 7 seems like a step backwards for Microsoft.

I'm on a Motorola Droid and miss my WinMo. Exchange is just better on WinMo. I miss the search function in email and the calendar integration. Accepting a meeting is a breeze and they're not lost like on my Droid.

I have a Samsung Omnia on Verizon. The Imagio has Windows 6.5, which I hope would make the phone more touch friendly.

Currently have htc tilt2.
The Imagio is better because-
1. 3.5 headphone jack
2. 5.0 mp camera
3. and of course that little kickstand.

The type of phone should say it all. It almost feels like I'm using a C64.;) I have always been behind in getting the latest phone.:( My next phone I've always wanted is an HTC phone because of their reputation of being very good phones.
