Some of us spend hours, weeks or years on games, and all that effort can be destroyed with the simple reformatting of your computer. Sure, you can usually move the save files, but it can be a huge problem, since many companies save their data in various different places. Fortunately, for those of you on Steam, it looks like you will not have to worry about it for future games.
