It's now available on Telstra's Next G network in Australia at $150 AUD upfront on a monthly $20 AUD, $30 AUD, or $40 AUD plan, or $0 upfront on other plans.

20 Plan = 150 upfront plus extra 28.95 per month handset payment (for 2 years)
40 Plan = 150 upfront plus extra 28.29 per month handset payment (for 2 years)
60 Plan = 0 upfront plus extra 34.54 per month handset payment (for 2 years)
80 Plan = 0 upfront plus extra 34.54 per month handset payment (for 2 years)

so even on 80 a month plan you still pay over $800 in handset payments on top of the $80 per month..

The other annoying thing is the telstra/foxtel/sensis icons on the front screen have been locked on even on their outright phones..
