My wife has been running the Win 7 RC since Jul. (Dual boot system, upgrades were to 2GB RAM, & with a second 100+GB HD added just for the Win 7 install.)

Not only does it run better than XP, but the Desktop backgrounds she has used have been consistently Gorgeous. At least from her perspective, it appears that eye-candy is not the only improvement.
