The iPhone developer on Tuesday opened a brick and mortar location and is using its iPhone app as the basis for the business."

Slicker is a company that makes self-guided walking tour applications for various cities, including Charleston, and has been "recognized as one of the picks of the week and staff favorites by Apple." What the developer plans on doing with his brick and mortar location is renting iPods that have the application loaded, so tourists can take a step by step tour of the historic areas of the city, which is where the storefront is located. Interesting concept and I think this will work out well for him. This is one app where a storefront actually makes sense, in my opinion anyway.
