Apple support boards are seeing increasing message traffic about icons that vanish, or attach themselves to the wrong app. This seems a problem with iPhone 3.0. Older versions seem unaffected."</em></p><p><em><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/at/auto/1246325437.usr105634.jpg" style="border: 1px solid #d2d2bb;" /></em></p><p>This hasn't happened to me yet, but some are experienced some messed up icons. There are also icons that are turning white, some that aren't showing up at all and some that are in the wrong positions. One developer said it was seen in the beta version and was pretty common. It isn't happening with everyone and as of yet they haven't described a common denominator. Some of the solutions are to delete the app and re-download it, or sync without the apps then re-sync with them. Anyone out there experiencing this or the one that Vincent described in an earlier <a href="http://www.applethoughts.com/news/show/94280/contact-display-glitch.html" target="_blank">post</a>?</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

It happened to me when installing the Sirius XM application. After I installed the application, everything looked OK. But after doing a reset of the device, something I do after every install or upgrade, the application's icon picked up a dimmed version of my Enigmo application. The Sirius application launched properly, but the icon was wrong. I uninstalled and reinstalled and everything was fine then. I've added additional applications since then without a similar problem.

I experienced this issue twice so far. The first time it replaced an icon for an application I had previously deleted for another one and made another applications icon a plain grey square. The second time it actually rendered an icon that was comprised of partial pieces of other icons. That is the top half of the icon was from a different application than the bottom half. Bizarre. I had to delete the programs and re-install to get the icons corrected.
