All my contacts are rendered correctly on the 3GS. I'm not sure what could be causing what you're seeing. Any chance that the "empty" fields are not actually empty? Like perhaps they contain some kind of special character (or perhaps even just a space). Perhaps it is a contacts sync issue with Mobile Me? I'm using exchange active sync with Google and appear to have no issues.

I haven't seen this on my 2G. My contacts sync with Google (not sure if that makes a difference).

Me me me!! This is happening to me too. I'm thinking it's Outlook that screws my contacts up. It adds empty lines when synching, and those lines mess everything up. Very annoying.

Glad someone else is seeing it, but I don't use Outlook! DRATS!

Ok, I guess that eliminates Outlook.
What I've done is gone into all of my contacts (I only have 200) and delete the extra lines, because they bugged me. When I create a new contact, and I don't fill in all the fields, I don't get the extra lines. I hope that fixes it. It takes a long time though. :(

I just did exactly that and it seems to have solved the problem.

It's funny because, in the end, it wasn't hurting anything; I'm just so anal it was annoying!
