I've bought refurbs before in laptops and cell phones, and I haven't had a problem yet, knock on wood.</p>

Yes, in fact, I think that you should change the quote (with brackets, of course), as well as the title of this post, to say that AT&T "is eager o dump off their stock refurbished iPhone 3G [phones]."

But, then again, I tend to be pedantic . . .

And of course they do this AFTER I bought mine for $99 (not that I'm complaining by any means). But had this been available when I bought mine, I'd have gone for the 16 GB refurb.
