All but the most expensive SSDs suffer from very slow write speeds, which can have a significant impact on your real-world performance."</em></p><p>SSDs, solid-state drives, have some good benefits, but they still are pretty expensive and write-speed is generally slow. Over at MaximumPC.com they've posted a great "how-to" article showing how to get the most out of an solid-state drive by pairing it with a traditional hard drive and tweaking the Windows installation for optimal performance. I haven't really considered using a SSD, but this article piques my interest.</p>
