Those developers whose application hope to operate behind the scenes will need to use this service to notify users of new information."</em></p><p><img height="402" src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com//at/auto/1239367139.usr18053.png" style="border: 1px solid #d2d2bb;" width="396" /></p><p>I guess it's safe to say it's really going to happen this time.&nbsp; I'm looking forward to it.&nbsp; I'd rather have background apps, but I've learned that, if nothing else, the iPhone is all about being patient. If the push notification server doesn't work out, Apple will almost be forced to roll out some sort of backgrounding for apps, so we'll see what happens.</p>
