Sure there are some stand-out developers on the Windows Mobile side of things, but it's seems like the iPhone attracts creative developers that design great-looking applications."</em></p><p>...and while I'm certainly in no position to disagree with him, there's also a lot of crap (ie: tic tac apps), so it isn't all peaches and roses on this side of the street.</p><p>&nbsp;</p>

It definitely seems that the more creative developers are working on the iPhone lately. There are some very talented and dedicated programmers working on Windows Mobile, but the iPhone definitely lends itself to creative applications.

As for fake Zippo lighters and tic tacs, don't write off how useful silly free apps like that can be in keeping small, restless children amused. I'll probably put this on my iPhone just for that purpose.

One cool thing about the iPhone is that it attracts promotional apps like this. They're fun for a minute...then you either never use it again other than to show a friend or family member or two then delete.

But, this helped me to remember that they still make TicTacs....which is a product I almost forgot about.
