The official boxee app was finally approved by Apple and is now available on the App Store. We hear the app is basic but it should be good enough for simple playback controls. It's too bad that it took so fraking long for Apple's stamp of approval."

The app works on iPhone or iPod Touch, and has a fairly simple interface. There are two modes, gesture and button. In gesture simply hold your finger on the Boxee logo and move it around to navigate the lists. There is also the ability to enter text should you need to via the iPhone/iPod Touch keyboard. Reminds me of how the Air Mouse app works. Its a basic remote with simple playback controls but if you lost your apple remote, or you like making your iPhone your all in one device this might be good choice.
