Apple CFO and acting CEO Tim Cook stated that his company will aggressively defend its patents, which many saw as a warning shot at Palm and its upcoming Pre smartphone."

According to the Palm CEO they are comfortable that Palm could "hold its own" in a lawsuit from Apple, but that they have always been respectful of other companies property. He further states they are focusing on their business and not what anyone else may or may not do, and has seen "nothing to date" that would indicate a lawsuit from Apple. Of course that is just because they haven't released the product yet, who knows what will happen once it is out there.
