Wow, that's brilliant. Smartphones have been around for a while. I wonder why nobody thought of something like this sooner?

This is what's surprising me about the iPhone. There's nothing about this app that couldn't have been done in the past with existing hardware, and yet we're seeing a veritable parade of insanely creative apps rolling in for the iPhone. Something about the platform seems to have awakened developers' creativity or something.
