EyeTV 3.1 is available immediately as a free update for users of EyeTV 3."</em></p><p><img src="http://images.thoughtsmedia.com/resizer/thumbs/size/600/at/auto/1232544749.usr18053.jpg" /></p><p>There are a <strong>lot</strong> of Mac users out there using EyeTV, and if you're one of them, this looks like a worthwhile upgrade.&nbsp; Of particular interest is the new program guide from TV Guide.&nbsp; Who knows TV better than TV Guide?&nbsp; The upgrade is free for people who purchased an EyeTV on or after December 1, 2007, which is more than fair.</p>

I did upgrade several days ago. If you do upgrade (and are in the US, of course) you can continue to use the Titan TV guide if you wish, but it is going away at the end of this year. The app comes with TV Guide, yes, but that's a subscription option. You do get one year for free, and the good news for upgraders is that you can continue to use Titan through the year and get your year subscription start anytime that you wish this year.

The TV Guide subscription does give more detail and up to two weeks of programming, compared with Titan's one week.
