ANY way to Disable ATT Network Data usage on Epix (SGH-I907)

Hey guys,

New to 'these' forums, New to the 'Epix' but not new to technology.

Is there ANY way to completely disable all network data usage on the Samsung Epix??

I don't have a data plan. Somebody else pays our cell phone bill and I want to be sure that absolutely no data usage goes through on this phone. Is there any way I can disable it? Even if it consists of editing the registry or installing a 3rd party app?

I need to completely disable Media Net, but obviously leave the phone On.

Assuming the Epix works in same fashion as AT&T Fuze, guess is you Probably Can turn Data Off - but AT&T does NOT make it easy!

Scour about the web for a bit & you will find instructions to re-direct Media Net to a Wifi-only connection & set-up a "Dummy" connection for your Modem.

Personal experience (with Fuze) indicates that these HELP, but do NOT stop all attempts to connect using 3G.

Perhaps someone else will have a better idea, but AFAIK your only hope (short of breaking something!) is to hack the Registry, either by direct edit or by loading an app that does it for you.

Search for an app named "No Data" - ?? running under prefix of "modaco" - ??.

Am not aware of a general "Tweak" app that provides control over radio...
