We hacked ours with ATV flash, so we have to wait until they update that before we update the firmware on the AppleTV to 2.3

I did the update . . . just to keep current. Nothing really useful for me

What's everyones experience lately with streaming music to airport express or the tv?

When streaming was first introduced with the AE using the wireless G, my thoughts were that it worked much of the time, but it just wasn't there yet. Has wireless N solved that?

I honestly don't have any Airport Express units in my house; as it turns out my one experience with an Apple Router was a disaster and I vowed never again. I want a Time Capsule, but there's no way I'm paying for that thing knowing the experiences I've had in the past. Blech.

Hmmm, yeah, I've heard several stories. I've not had issues with wireless router hardware, other than not knowing how best to mount it (the spaceship airport extreme). I really like my Time Capsule. Somehow, I even feel better with the enterprise grade HD, for what it's worth.

How so ? I've been using an Airport Extreme Base Station (802.11n) for a few months now. Only problem I've had so far is that it occasionally "forgets" my color laser printer is attached to it.
