To expand on Ed's post a bit, the page at http://bevhoward.com/storm/ppcrad.htm contains a link to http://bevhoward.com/storm/Storm.htm which is a text page of the current hurricane related links

All of the hurricane graphics links are links to current information... i.e. the url remains the same but the named image is updated regularly. There are a number of satellite images as well as track forecast and highway information there as well.

There is also a "toggle" on the Radar page which allows switching between small, static images (low bandwidth) to larger looping images (high bandwidth)... the $$$ background is the visual clue for which you have selected at the moment ;-)

I've kept these as "must have" Favorites ever since Bev first told us about them several years ago. And, they've ALWAYS been a quick and easy way to check on the local weather. They've always been up-to-date and fast-loading.

A couple of weeks ago I was driving into what looked like a huge storm. A quick check of Bev's radar image showed me that I, indeed, WAS, so I was able to exit the highway in time to let the horrible storm pass over.
