The quad-band GSM/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA device is impressive, packing 128MB RAM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a 3.0-megapixel auto-focus camera, a huge 1940mAh battery (HTC, are you taking note of this?), and Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. Alas, some of you may be let down by its QVGA display. But if you can look past that, this may be the device for you.</p>

I've had mine over a week now, loving it so far, HP's best iPAQ by a mile! I also have an unboxing on my website!

regards,

Greg

i was really pumped that this device would be the QWERTY PDA/Phone i'd been longing for. small, exposed QWERTY keyboard, 1900 mAh battery, GPS, etc. but, after less than a week's use, i decided to return my 910c... i've summarized my thoughts (from my post on HowardForums) below.

the good stuff:
1. i like the business look of the device; looks very professional (in my opinion)
2. device was snappy and responsive
3. 8GB microSD card works without any problem.
4. GPS (Garmin and CoPilot) worked great! I got satellite locks within 30 seconds after the initial QuickGPS update.
5. camera works well and took good pictures (for my uses)
6. multiple navigation options: keyboard buttons for calendar, mail, "OK", Start Menu is a plus, scroll wheel is a plus and of course there's the D-Pad.
7. my jawbone2 and Z9i headsets worked very well with the 910c. the jawbone2 worked best.
8. email (via Exchange Server), text messaging and mms all worked as anticipated.
9. keypad is tight, but usable. a little slippery, but it did not hamper my ability to type.
10.very good reception where i'm located (Dallas/Ft Worth).
11. internet sharing worked as expected - this is a must for me as much as i travel

the not so good stuff:
1. scroll wheel. it worked sometimes and other times it didn't work. this behavior was unpredictable. i could restore the "scrolling function" via soft reset but the erratic behavior would eventually return.

2. ringtones and event notifications. even with the volume at its loudest level, the caller ringtones and event notifications (e.g., email, reminders) were not loud enough (for me) and/or they would simply stop playing. a soft reset would restore the sound volume but they would progressively get lower until they stopped playing. this is a bug because it was a consistent, predictable issue with my device.

3. call volume. The call volume on my device was too low for my hearing. now, i'm not deaf, but compared to my Sprint Touch and Orbit 2, the 910 call volume is much lower.

#2 and #3 were show stoppers for me; that's why i returned mine. if HP can resolve these issues in a very timely manner, i'd probably get another one.
